Early in our company's history we adopted QVC's customer philosophy to under promise and over deliver. Meet our executive team:
Joseph Mezzina : President
Joe has always had the heart and mind of an entrepreneur. After achieving success as a financial advisor in the automotive industry, Joe got his first experience in consumer products when he joined the international shipping and logistics company, The Janel Group in the early 1990's. While at Janel, Joe gained valuable experience in the global sourcing, manufacturing and logistics industry. To this day Joe draws on that early experience for the benefit of our customers . Always looking for new challenges and ideas and with his entrepreneurial spirit he founded ZINA International in April 2000 . The company was founded with one product called SUPERCLOTH; an incredible cleaning cloth invented near his birth town in Italy. Along with partner Frank Alfieri, Joe has worked tirelessly to create a company where success is a result of strong relationships and hard work. Joe resides with his wife and two children in Bergen County, NJ.
Frank Alfieri : Executive Vice President
Frank achieved early success with a family owned business before joining Trend Lines, a multi-chain retailer and became the chain's youngest Regional Director. With a strong entrepreneurial spirit, Frank decided to help build a small manufacturing firm specializing in the "As Seen on TV" business working on famed Direct Response items such as the First State Quarters Maps and Boogie Bass while establishing a relationship with QVC. Frank's role was to reposition the company from manufacturing to product development and sales. Frank then joined Good Times Entertainment, a DR giant to build their Live TV Shopping business. He managed such product icons as Richard Simmons and Leslie Sansone while developing their Turbo Cooker line. In the next stage of his career, Frank joined Joe Mezzina as a partner in Zina in 2002 and together, built the company to nearly 20 employees with offices in NJ, PA, HK and China.
Linda Verno : Vice President
With 25 years of experience in business development, sales and marketing, Linda brings a wide range of skills to the ZINA team. As National Sales Manager for a Furniture manufacturer and then General Manager for an international home décor and furniture business, she was responsible for product development, national account management, regional inventory management and P &L. Linda held several positions at QVC including Business Development, Q Publishing, Brand Management as well as President of CV Directo, QVC Mexico in Mexico City. Linda holds a BA in Communication from West Chester University and an MBA from Temple University.
Brian Jones : Vice President
Brian has over 25 years experience in sales and marketing for globally recognized consumer brands. After graduating college, Brian joined internationally recognized lodging brand, Hilton Hotels. Brian held numerous sales roles with Hilton and from there he went on to become Vice President of Sales for Loews Hotels where he was part of the leadership team that orchestrated the creation and communication of the brand. After attaining achievements in the domestic market, he then joined Le Meridien Hotels where he was named Vice President of Global Sales. At Le Meridien, he had global sales responsibility for the brand and managed 125 sales executives in 18 countries. He holds a B.S. degree in International Business from St. John's University and an MBA from Fordham University. He also completed Executive Leadership Development at the Center for Creative Leadership. He resides in Bergen County, NJ with his wife and three children.
